Our brief was a straightforward one: complement the stunning floor-to-ceiling views of Sydney Harbour with interior spaces that radiated sophistication, comfort and warmth.
First, to maximise the impact of the panoramic harbour views, we removed existing ceiling cornices and reduced the original skirting by half to overcome the apartment’s limited ceiling height. Ceiling grills and vents were streamlined to clear the spaces of any unnecessary distractions.
Then we focused on surface treatments and a neutral color palette composed of solid timber floorboards and Calcutta marble in the bathrooms and kitchen. While the living areas exude elegance, the master ensuite hides an element of surprise. A custom mosaic tile wall pops against the dark green tiles used elsewhere in the master bath.
